Strict Liability or Negligence?

Q: A toyota recall case where families of people who have died bc of their product defect are suing the company. is it strict liability or negligence?
A case where a family is killed because the accelerator on a toyota vehicle was stuck and killed the family involved. The family of the people killed are now suing toyota for damages. Is this strict liability or negligence by toyota?

A: This should come closer to negligence. Strict liability would mean Toyota was liable simply because Toyota vehicles were involved. Negligence requires there was SOMETHING Toyota could have done differently that would have prevented the deaths.
