Toyota Recall October 2010: Car manufacturer Toyota is again dealing with recall issues. This time the Toyota recall includes the models Lexus, Avalon, Highlander for a total of 740,000 vehicles in the USA. This is a “safety recall” as these cars have problems with the brake fluid, which can leak from the brake master cylinder, illuminating the brake warning lamp.

The worldwide recall of these models includes a total of 1.5 million vehicles! This means more trouble for Toyota, a company that had to recall 10 million vehicles on the past year due to a variety of issues.

The affected models in this recall are: 2005 through 2006 Avalon, 2004 through 2006 Highlander (non Hybrid) and Lexus RX330, and 2006 Lexus GS300, IS250, and IS350.

According to a press release by Toyota: “If the brake warning lamp has illuminated and the vehicle continues to be operated without refilling the master cylinder brake fluid reservoir, the driver will begin to notice a spongy or soft brake pedal feel and braking performance may gradually decline.”
