Have a 2000 Toyota Camry and have the brakes done twice by two companies and they still squeal-hate it!!?

Question 1
Have a 2000 Toyota Camry and have the brakes done twice by two companies and they still squeal-hate it!!?...  Brakes squeal and the dealer said it is because the car sits out and it rusts everyday and that is what makes it squeal? Owned this car 8 years and it sat out and never squealed-and now that i have had the brakes done at the dealer it squeals horribly-people star at me when I brake-ugggggggggg any ideas? Have complained and toyota dealer said it is just rust-grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Thanks for info have had it all done-toyota pads-calipers,rotors,shims or whatever they are called- thy guaranteed no squeaking-ug.love my camry-but the brakes didnt squeak for 8 years-why now? rust they say?

Answers
1)   i was going to suggest toyota pads, but you got that covered. surely you can go higher with toyota. there are things that can be done(clean/grease caliper sliding surfaces, bevel pads, spray membrane on the backside of the pads), but THEY should do that. might get someone higher up at the dealer to ride with you. It'S NOT RUST. surface will clean up with just a few brake applications - mobile mike

2)   If you live in a place like seattle or washington heck yeah that can do it. When it rains your rotors get rusty because they aren't stainless. There are no real CHEAP other suggestions without tearing off a whole bunch of parts. If they're squealing you might need new calipers, you might need to bleed the hydraulic system, you might need to resurface the rotors, etc. etc. etc. Basically, if they're saying everything looks a-okay then it's probably a problem with the calipers sticking. - Hank Scorpio

3)   Going to the dealer is the problem. They are trained to install the pads WITHOUT disk brake silencer applied to them. Go to ANOTHER mechanic and have it applied, it will be cheap to do. - The Raven

Question 2
Which is BeTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?...  which is better in a car, more reliable and safer: the start button or the regular key ignition? Which will last longer and which wears down faster?

Thank you for your help!

Answers
1)   I would expect the start button to last longer, although they are too new to know for sure. Conventional ignition switches are fairly high failure rate items in a lot of cars so the bar is already set pretty low. The start button should have about the same failure rate as other control buttons, and I haven't encountered one of those giving trouble in ages. - Michael

2)   Starter button. Eventually I think all new cars will have the button. - JOSHUA

3)   Most cars are coming with starter buttons, and the only negative is that if you need to turn off the engine while moving (which isn't smart anyway), you must hold down the button for a few seconds or in some cars push it multiple times. But pushing it once while driving won't do anything, so don't worry. Also, it's convenient to leave the fob in your pocket, so long as you don't forget to turn the car off. - SkiVT

Question 3
From the toyota recall, Which is a better car to get a 2009 nissan sentra or a 2006 toyota corolla?...
Recently, their has been a toyota recall!
Forget about the years. Which is a better car, Nissan or Corolla?

Answers
1)   dont buy a foreign car. - frost_man Jr.

2)   I would go with the Nissan having to choose between the 2 cars you posted. Not that anything is wrong with the Toyota, but the Nissans are usually a bit cheaper when new. This means for a little bit more money, you'll have a new car and a warranty over getting the used car. - Derail

3)   Huh?

What does "From the Recall" mean?

It's hard to say because Mileage, options, and cost all play a factor.

You can't just randomly pick 2 car makes that are 3 years apart and ask which is better without more information. A 2006 Corolla fully loaded driven by a Grandma is better than a completely bare bones Sentra that was a Rental Car.

Yeah..... I don't think it affected the 2006 Corollas though. So it wouldn't matter if there's a recall or not.

What options does either have?

Again it takes more than just which is better. - Alan loves Toyota
