2004 toyota camry questions?

Q: I have a 2004 toyota camry LE and earlier today I was driving with the cruise control on, then I was a really reasonable distance, I believe I had an 8-10 second gap between us, then when he braked, I started applying mine, but the car didn't stop, it just kept going, and I know the cruise control goes off as soon as you put on the brakes, then when I turned it off by hand, the brakes squealed as it was suddenly stopping, but I still hit the suv in front of me at about 15 kilometres per hour, but the air bag didn't deploy, my car has a hood, a grill, two headlights and a bumper, did anyone else have this problem and how much am I looking at to get it fixed? Nobody got hurt so it was not reported. I did not have my foot on the gas, I had cruise control

A: Most of the answers you will get in the Toyota section will be from people like "Toyota Obsession" that sell Toyotas and will be biased. You need to re-post in the maintenance and repairs section. Yes the airbag should have deployed but I'm willing to bet that the Toyota reps in this section will lie for Toyota yet again and have some lie as to why they didn't.

My answer will get about 20 thumbs down from the Toyota dealer know as "Toyota Obsession" She hates us guys that tell the truth so she uses some of her 20+ accounts to give thumbs down and to vote for her own answer as best.
