Q: I want my first car to be a 2005-2010 Ford Mustang Gt.
I was wondering when other people bought their first cars?
I'm 16 right now and I am college bound.
I want a car right now, and I would like to bring it to college.
The thing is, I might want to go to California for college so I can study journalism and film/media.
Would bringing my car be a good idea? (If I get one?)
I have a job and I would be able to pay for it.
I checked and when I turn 18 down payments would be 1500. probably lower if i wait til i'm 18.
But, I want to make the best decision. I live in Illinois and I am not interested in attending school here. I would like to go to California for my studies or Hawaii, because I am interested in living in those locations. After some thorough research, I found out that the cost of college in Hawaii is cheaper than the tuition at a college like UOI or Depaul.
So my question is, should I invest in a car at 16 years old and bring it to college with me?
Or just wait until I'm done with my studies, and then purchase one?

A: It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota... First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car - for example here - carinsurance.deep-ice.com
